FINNZ worked with EPA to establish a new Waste and Resource Reporting Portal (WARRP) that was required to support changes in waste regulations across the state.

This case study looks at what was involved in the project and the positive results EPA are now experiencing since the portal was implemented

What will I learn?

  • How WARRP is now being successfully used to collect all of the state's waste levies which will fund $337 million in waste minimisation initiatives between 2017 & 2021
  • The full functionality that the system offers NSW includes; tracking the movement of waste between facilities, real time reporting and levy calculations
  • How this new system has improved internal efficiencies for the department in a number of key areasEPA case study image
